‘What an exciting show season to come with Living Heritage Events!
Since our last show at Sandringham, during the end of November 2013, we have been very busy preparing for this years show season, starting at Thorseby in just two weeks time! This has included training all of the youngsters from 2013 and organising the displays that will be taking place throughout the 2014 show season.
Ourselves at Hawkeye Falconry UK, will be making sure that everything runs smoothly, throughout each day in the Falconry Village. The Resident Falconers, including AC Falconry, The Falconry Centre, Kevin Mulliner, Chrissies Owls, as well as ourselves will be on site at every show to perform a very diverse array of falconry techniques, inclusive of Hawks, Falcons, Owls, Eagles and Vultures.
The Falconry Village is one of the many great attractions at each and every show, but this year, the Falconry Village is sure to be better than ever, hosting at least 50 birds of prey at each show. We have a couple of new falconry display teams, appearing at the shows, new falconers and of course the stars of the show themselves, the birds of prey, including a selection of new birds that will be making their first ever appearance at shows. At seven of the shows this year Guest Falconers from all over the United Kingdom will also be exhibiting.
Also … for the falconers out there, we will be having a Resident Falconry Equipment Supplier at each of the shows, where you can purchase high quality falconry equipment without having to pay for postage and packaging! This is a must to prepare yourselves for the new hunting season to come later on in 2014.
Regarding the birds themselves, as previously said, there will be a few new feathered additions to the Falconry Village, as well as the show-stopping regulars, that
perform each year round. These new additions include our new falcons at Hawkeye Falconry UK. These include Merlin our White Gyr x Saker Falcon who was born last April, Arthur our Gyr x Red-Naped Shaheen Falcon as well as Jacob our second Peregrine x Saker Falcon, in addition to our regular Peregrine x Saker Falcon, Elvis.
During the season, after many of the shows, photographs will be uploaded to this website and our personal website (www.hawkeyefalconry.co.uk) of the Falconry Village during 2014. We will also be putting up more information, prior to each show, about what is going to be happening at the Falconry Village.
I hope everyone has a great year and we all look forward to welcoming you to the Great Living Heritage Falconry Village. See you at Thorseby!!
